Alhamdulillah. After months of planning, preparation, documentation, approval processes, renovation works, purchasing, recruitment and training, the first Kayu Nasi Kandar branch will finally be opened on June 27, 2008.

The event will be officiated by Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Bini Hajah Faizah binti Dato Haji Nasir, along with other dignitaries and VVIPs.

From 2pm onwards, all customers will be treated to a special "Minima B$1 Atau Seangkat-angkat Hati" Day. Just pay minimum of B$1 (per person) or whatever you want to pay... until the food is cleared for the day.

This is a major milestone for the Kayu Group, being the second international branch outside of Malaysia - with Melbourne being the first.

25 full time staff have been recuited and trained for the operations of this branch. The training stints have been long and exhausting - but perhaps an investment by both Company and staff that will be rewarded in due time.
