27 June 2008 marks an important date in our calendar when Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Bini Hajah Faizah binti Dato Haji Nasir graced us and other VVIP guests with presence to officiate the official opening of Original Penang Kayu Nasi Kandar (B) Sdn Bhd - Beribi Branch.
Accompanying Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Bini Hajah Faizah was Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Paduka Seri Pengiran Bendahara Seri Maharaja Permaisuara Pengiran Muda Haji Sufri Bolkiah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien.

The Royal Couple was greeted by Pengiran Sharifful Bahri b PSI Pengiran Haji Ismail - Chairman of Original Penang Kayu Nasi Kandar (B) Sdn Bhd, Dayang Bakyah Karim - Manager of Beribi Branch and our VVIP guests, including Yang Berhormat Pehin Hazair bin Haji Abdullah - Deputy Minister of Health, and Dato Ku Jaafar Ku Shaari - the Malaysian High Commissioner, along with Pengiran-Pengiran Chetria, Pengiran-Pengiran and other distinguished guests.

His Royal Highness Prince Sufri Bolkiah and Pengiran Bini Hajah Faizah were given a tour of the premise by Dayang Bakyah. They were also given a live demonstration of our signature dish - the Roti Tisu: a towering 3 feet delicacy which has now become the talk of town.
Also present during this event is the founder of this famous chain of Kayu Nasi Kandar restaurants - Mr Buruhan Mohamed, who could not miss this lifetime opportunity to together celebrate this auspicious moment for the Group. |
