This is really a Sungkai Feast...
I have been to several restaurant that serves buffets around town. Most, if not all of them, are pretty standard with less than 20 dishes (dan nda nyaman) for a small fee. When I went to Kayu with some friends last week, I was thrilled to see a LARGE variety of food. Indian curry ada, Malaysian food ada, satay ada, and all for a reasonable charge of $11.90. The food are delicious and the service is excellent. That explains why the place is so full with people. Congratulations KAYU. I think the other restauranteurs must learn a whole lot more from you people. I was there again yesterday and I will certainly go again next week.

Great new prices ...
Last month, we went to your restaurant several times. Food was very good but even my friend said too expensive. So, we dont go there. Two days ago, we went again. I was surprised to see u give new price. I see you also got many new menu and introduced new dishes. Our food was delicious, and service also very good. Thank you.

Wohoo... Kayu in Brunei..!!
I am a Malaysian, working in KB for the past 5 years. We have heard of Kayu from friends in the past month, but never got around to get to your place. Last weekend, I had to go... and I took my family there for a feast...!! Brunei food is great, but its good that we can still get original nasi kandar here in Brunei, just like home! Thanks Kayu!!

A bit Expensive ...
I must say that food biskita memang nyaman. Much better than your competitor. But your prices are a bit expensive compared to the many shops in town. I know that many high-profiled customers and VVIPs often go to Kayu, but please make it more affordable to us the common folks as well.

Response from Management: Thank you for your honesty and feedback. We want your business and we also appreciate the business of all our customers. Because of this, WE HAVE REVISED OUR PRICES (with effect from 10 August 2008) and drastically reduced them to suit the needs of our customers. |

Nice but padas...
Thanks for bringing Kayu to Brunei. The food is really delicious, but it is too hot for my tastebuds. Padas membakar..! Perhaps good to tone down the curries and chillies, to suit the taste of the locals.

Response from Management: Thank you for your feedback. We have received similar comments from a number of customers - and we have 'toned down' the curries and chillies but maintained the 'deliciousness' of our food. |

Mahal Food Kitani ...
You people at Kayu are selling the food so very expensive..! We had dinner for 3 people and the bill was over $30.00...
That was my first impression of Kayu. Then again, I soon realized that we were so very delighted to see so many variations of good food being served at the food counter. Obviously, I took almost all the good variation of food that I liked. We had fried crabs, prawns, chicken and squids. So maybe it was really our mistake for not really thinking what we are taking. But perhaps Kayu would consider giving 10% discount to regulars, more like loyalty program...
