All wet/fresh food materials supplied must conform to the highest of quality and freshness. All purchases are inspected by the Supervisor and Master Chef. Food materials lacking the required quality and freshness will be rejected. Deliveries are made on daily basis to reduce long refrigeration periods in the Restaurant. Where possible, fresh food materials are cooked on the same day.

All dry food materials are purchased from those of the highest quality as well. Our tea leaves, for example, are two grades above those in conventional restaurants. The cooking oil used in Kayu Nasi Kandar are also those of high-grades and Halal-certified.

Cleanliness will always be given the priority in the food preparation process. All cooking and dining utensils are cleaned and wiped before storage.

Kayu Nasi Kandar has also engaged a professional team of experts to ensure a pest-free environment.

This is an additional measure that Kayu Nasi Kandar has taken on top of routine cleaning and mopping of floor areas in all sections of the Restaurant.
